a geometry issue in space

I'm attempting to identify the segment that connects a point in the plane to a point in the line such that the supplied point P is the midpoint of that segment given a plane, a line parallel to the plane, and a point P outside of the plane and line.

Although I tried, it was simply too much. Any help?
