Czy istnieje taki parametr \( a \in \rr \), aby układ równań:
\(
\begin{cases} x_1 + x_2 +ax_3 = 1 \\
−x_1 +ax_2 + x_3 = 1 \\
x_1 + x_2 + x_3 = a^2 \end{cases}
\)
był nieoznaczony?

Z daleka widać, że dla \(a=1\) tak będzie... policz wyznacznik macierzy współczynników, przyrównaj do zera i sprawdź

Really ? Okay:
\(W= \begin{vmatrix}1&1&a\\-1&a&1\\1&1&1 \end{vmatrix}=(a-a+1)-(a^2+1-1)=1-a^2\\
W=0\iff a\in\{-1,1\} \)
\(a=-1\So\begin{cases} x_1 + x_2 -x_3 = 1 \\
−x_1 -x_2 + x_3 = 1 \\
x_1 + x_2 + x_3 = 1 \end{cases}\qquad\) (I)+(II): \(0=2\), czyli \((x_1,x_2,x_3)\in\emptyset\)
\(a=1\So\begin{cases} x_1 + x_2 +x_3 = 1 \\
−x_1 +x_2 + x_3 = 1 \\
x_1 + x_2 + x_3 = 1 \end{cases}\So\begin{cases} x_1 + x_2 +x_3 = 1 \\
−x_1 +x_2 + x_3 = 1 \end{cases}\So \begin{cases}x_1=0\\x_2\in\rr\\x_3=1-x_2\end{cases}\)
