How advanced is this statistics question?

In college, I took an introductory statistics course. I just had this thinking and realised I have no idea how to answer it:

"Choose a guy and a lady at random from the populace. What is the odds that the man will be taller given the mean height and variance for both groups?"

Is this an advanced or intermediate question? What subject usually teaches us how to answer queries like this?
