Is linear algebra supposed to be interesting or just useful?

Going through linear algebra 2 class atm. I find my eyes glazing over during most lectures and my classmates experience seems similar. Seems like we're just learning advanced tricks for how to deal with matrixes, but theres no bigger world of mathematics unferling before me. Thats how I feel in most of my other math classes ( Real&complex analysis, probability...). Is linear algebra generally regarded as an interesting field in itself or is it more usually studied bc its a useful tool for dealing with problems in other disciplines? By interesting I of course mean subjectively. Is it a field many mathematicians personally find interesting.

Algebra liniowa ma liczne zastosowania w matematyce (np. równania różniczkowe, programowanie liniowe), w ekonomii (np. metody skutecznego modelowania i rozwiązywania problemów związanych z alokacją zasobów).

Dla mnie jest narzędziem, jak cała Matematyka, w rozstrzyganiu problemów otaczającego mnie świata - przestrzeni trójwymiarowej
